The Executive Assembly (EA) is the annual event of the World Energy Council that brings together the World Energy community. Coming from all parts of the world, representing national, regional and global energy systems and sectors, participants take place in internal meetings as the Executive Assembly plenary, governance meetings, board meetings, regional Meetings, Secretaries’ strategy meeting, and social events.
In 2019 the Executive Assembly is taking place two days prior to the World Energy Congress, in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

Under the theme Energy for Prosperity, the programme of the 24th World Energy Congress leads delegates through the most live and critical issues facing the energy industry.
The format of the four-day programme features opening, closing and panel sessions designed to ensure that there is a narrative to the event based on sharing best practice and identifying solutions for the key issues facing the sector.
The 24th World Energy Congress will take place in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates from 9 – 12 September 2019. More than 10,000 energy stakeholders are expected to convene for the Congress which will be held under the patronage of H.H Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nayhan, President of the United Arab Emirates. Under the theme ‘Energy for Prosperity’, the Congress will be a global leadership forum that drives dialogue on critical issues facing the energy sector and defines the strategy for a collaborative innovative and sustainable energy future.
