Eric Stab is the President & CEO of ENGIE Romania and coordinates ENGIE’s activity in the Eastern Europe (Romania, Poland, Slovakia, Czech Republic), an area in which the Group generates approximately 1.5 billion euros in turnover and has approximately 6,000 employees. In addition, Eric Stab chaired the Foreign Investors Council for two terms, where he currently serves as Vice president, and is also a member of the Executive Committee of the Coalition for Romania’s Development.
He began his career 29 years ago in Germany, where he held several management positions for nine years. He continued as Director of Gaz de France’s European Gas Sales Division, after which he took over the management of the group’s British electricity trading and production subsidiary. Following the merger of Gaz de France and Suez, Eric Stab served as CEO of GDF SUEZ’s energy activities in Eastern Europe.
He completed a Masters in Management at ESCP Europe in Paris and graduated from the Executive Program at Stanford University.
